In addition to her husband and parents, Louise was preceded in death by her brother, Joseph C. Janes and three sisters, Violet Janes, Virginia Janes Fankhauser and Betty Janes Kovacs. Louise described her love of music as one of the most important aspects of her life. She began singing solo at the age of seven at Janes Memorial United Methodist Church and spent the last fifty years as a member of the Central United Methodist Church choir. She was a charter member of the Fairmont Music Club and sang with the Fairmont Music Sextet. She also sang with the Sweet Adelines and performed in community theater productions. She was a board member of the Fairmont Community Concert Association and a longtime member of the Lioness Club of Fairmont. Louise was such a cheerful person, always uplifting, positive and full of joy and song. God was always first in her life, and she tried to live her strong faith every day. She never stopped trying to help people with problems whenever she could. She was an inspiration to everyone and a joy to be with. She was so loved by her family and friends, and many of those friendships continuing for over sixty-five years. Her love of singing continued during her stay at Pierpont Center. To have known Louise was such a delight, and all those who did will cherish the memories of the times they shared with her. Family and friends will remember Louise by her beautiful smile and her loving, congenial manner.
