Joseph Robert “Bob” Vincent Joseph Robert “Bob” Vincent, 62, of Saltwell Road, Shinnston went to be with our Lord on March 11, 2010. He was born on Grassey Run Road in Fairmont a son of the late Earl S. Vincent and Mary Jo (Jenkins) Vincent. Bob is survived by his wife of 39 years, Sandra (Ashcraft) Vincent; their only child, Robert “Todd” Vincent and his wife Robin of Manheim, Pennsylvania and a special nephew Rodney Ashcraft whom he thought of as a son. Bob was well liked by all who met him. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed being with his family. He loved all animals and especially Howie, his cat, and his dogs, Abby and Zoie. He was a graduate of East Fairmont High School and served his country in the US Army, 508 Transportation Company during the Vietnam War. He had worked at Helmick Corporation in Fairmont , Pinkerton Security and most recently with the John Ebert Corporation in Clarksburg and Bridgeport. Bob attended Victor Chapel at Francis Mine. He worked on various committees and served his community thru the Angel Food Ministries. Also surviving are his sisters and a brother-in-law, Ruby Vincent, Aleda Vincent, and Nola Robey and her husband, Terry all of Worthington; a sister-in-law, Ann Vincent; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Terry and Catherine Ashcraft and Garry and Debra Ashcraft all of Shinnston; nieces and their spouses, Anita and David Lawson of Morgantown, Courtney and Scott Robert of Herndon, Virginia, Melissa Uhl of Worthington and Brandi and Terry Meighan of Fairmont; nephews and their spouses, Buddy and Brenda Vincent, Jay and Candy Vincent and Kenny and JoAnn Vincent all of Fairmont; as well as many other nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Vincent, a sister Dolores Livingston a nephew Charlie Livingston and a niece Jennifer Robey. Friends and family may call at the Carpenter & Ford Funeral Home, 209 Merchant Street, Fairmont on Friday from 11am to 8pm and Saturday 10 am to 11am. The funeral service will be at 11am on Saturday, March 13, 2010 at the funeral home with Pastor Brian Plum officiating. Interment services will follow at Grandview Memorial Gardens. Full military honors will be conducted at grave side by the Marion County Veterans Council Honor Guard.
