John Lewis Pace
January 11, 1927 - March 22, 2020
John Lewis Pace, 93, of Fairmont, passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2020, at Fairmont Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born on January 11, 1927, in Columbus, Ohio, a son of the late Carl and Anna Pace. John retired from the City of Fairmont in the Water Department. He will be remembered for his love of camping, as well as spending time with family and friends. He is survived by his niece, Kay McCaulley, of Fairmont; great-niece, Brinda McCaulley and husband David, of Fairmont; sons: Johnny Ruff, Tony L. Pace, and John C. Pace; and daughters, Tina Pace and Trina Ruff. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife, Betty (Glover) Pace, who passed away on December 23, 2014. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Teresa Marie Tomlinson. Our dear uncle and father deserves a wonderful tribute. However, we appreciate in this unknown time with the COVID-19 pandemic that attending a visitation may not be in your best health interest. Please keep us in your prayers. Should you be able to celebrate John’s life, friends are welcome at Carpenter and Ford Funeral Home, 209 Merchant St., Fairmont, on Wednesday, March 25, 2020, from 10 a.m. until the service at 1:00 p.m., at the funeral home, with Reverend Ronald Yoder officiating. In keeping with his wishes, John will be cremated following the service. The service will be live-streamed on our Facebook page at: https://www.facebook.com/Carpenter-Ford-Funeral-Home-105320374445451/
