Emma Lou (McCartney) Newman Romano, 62, formerly of Washington, PA. and now lived in of Fairmont, passed away on Friday, April 15, 2022, at WVU Medicine at Fairmont Medical Center, surrounded by her family. She was born on February 13, 1960, in Washington, Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late Bay and Emma Diamond. Emma worked at Kellington Protection Services for years and Trash Butler Company for the last two years. She also worked for Family Services of Marion and Harrison Counties. Emma loved her husband, children, grandchildren and her three fur babies very much. Emma was survived by her husband, Christopher Romano when they married on November 18, 2016; her son, Michael Newman of South Carolina; her daughter, Brandy Hinch and her husband, Ed Pahula of Washington, Pa; Bobbie Hackney and her husband, Michael of Washington, Pa, Tracy Law and her husband, Tim of South Carolina, and Emma Marie Perritt and her husband, Ronnie of South Carolina; her stepdaughters, Danylle Romano of Drummonds, TN, and Crystal Melton and her wife, Sasha of Illinois; her stepsons, Bryan Romano, and Casey Schaening, both of Fairmont; thirteen grandchildren. Emma will be missed by so many including her mother-in-law, Dolores Romano “Aka Dee” of Fairmont, and her sister-in-law, Vickie Lefils and her husband, Gerry of Jacksonville, Florida. Also her friends and co-workers, and her clients of Family Services. In addition to her parents, Emma was preceded in death by her first husband of 45 years, Robert C. Newman; her brothers, Charles McCartney, Lawrence McCartney, and Wallace McCartney; her sisters, Linda McCartney, and Stella Maloy. In keeping with Emma’s wishes, she will be cremated. There will be no visitation or funeral services.
