Beverly Jean Stevens-Atha
December 17, 1953 - January 15, 2022
Beverly Jean Stevens-Atha left us peacefully to be with the Lord on January 15, 2022. She was born December 17, 1953, the daughter of Robert Layman and Nancy (Herron) Fetty. She is survived by her husband, Homer Atha, two sons, Richard E. King and his wife Lisa, Patrick Stevens and his wife Kate, two step sons, Kirk Atha and his friend Jennifer, Heath Atha, and his wife Devany, seven grandchildren, Austin King, Blake King, Carsyn King, Cutter Atha, Ansley Atha, Saylor Atha, and Camden Atha, her brother, Gregory Fetty and his wife Nancy, two nieces, Kristen Fetty and Heather Fetty, her cousin, Rebecca Stone Heston, to whom she was especially close, as well as several other cousins and many close friends. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, grandparents, several aunts and uncles, and one grandson, Dalton King. She was a graduate of Fairmont Senior High School. She was employed at several area businesses including Garden Fresh, the Moose Lodge, and Creative Label. Early in her life, Beverly was an avid bowler, belonging to several different leagues and attending the state tournament on numerous occasions. She was an excellent cook, and also enjoyed canning vegetables from Homer’s garden. She enjoyed watching football games, and was a huge Kansas City Chiefs fan. Beverly will be remembered as someone who would help anyone. She loved helping others, never turning anyone way. A graveside service will be held at Nuzum Cemetery on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Danny Blake officiating.
