Beverly Sue Lough

Beverly Sue Lough, 85, of Montana Mines, passed away on Sunday, March 01, 2020, at John Manchin Sr. Healthcare Center. She was born on March 04, 1934, in Montana Mines, the youngest child of the late George Sheranko Sr. and Suzanna (Hornyak) Sheranko. After graduating East Fairmont High School in 1953, Beverly went on to work at G.C. Murphy Co. and Westinghouse (part time in both Baltimore and Fairmont). She was an avid bowler, a member of the Montana Mines Improvement Association and the Red Hats Society, A Cub Scout Den Mother, and loved cooking. She was a lifelong member of the Montana Mines United Methodist Church. She will be remembered for being a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Beverly is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Kenneth Waitman Lough. She is also survived by son, Ronald K. Lough, of Montana Mines; daughter, Nancy Fetty and husband Gregory, of Fairmont; grandchildren: Caleb Waitman Lough, Kristen Fetty, and Heather Fetty; as well as several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings: George Sheranko Jr., Daniel Sheranko, Robert Sheranko, Samuel Sheranko, Pauline Sarver, Ann Knight, Margaret Webster, and Ruth Cooter. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at John Manchin Sr. Healthcare Center for the wonderful and loving care they took of Beverly. Family and friends are welcome to call at Carpenter and Ford Funeral Home, 209 Merchant St., Fairmont, on Tuesday from 2 p.m. – 8 p.m. and on Wednesday, March 04, 2020, from 10 a.m. until the service at 1:00 p.m., at the funeral home, with Pastor David Knotts officiating. Interment will follow at Montana Mines Cemetery.
